Description/Purpose
The Committee supports collaboration with elected officials and opportunities for nonpartisan civic engagement to increase the quality of life for all Logan Square residents.
Objectives
- Communicate annual priorities of LSNA to elected officials
- Serve as a resource for voting information and awareness of local officials
- Increase opportunities for engagement through local community events
Approach to Achieving Objectives
To achieve these objectives, the Committee will continue to build and strengthen relationships with local and state officials representing the districts within LSNA, monitor legislative activities that may be relevant to LSNA priorities, and utilize meetings and the website to share pertinent election/elected officials information. The Committee will use existing neighborhood events and also look for opportunities for new events to increase engagement, including a potential volunteer activity or drive during the year.
