The reports may be amended versions, as errors brought to LSNA's attention may be corrected even after date of the LSNA board meeting in question.

Robberies in the Logan Square Neighborhood

Although the Logan Square neighborhood is generally very safe, there are occasionally robberies here, just as there are in every other city neighborhood. An example was in May, as reported in the Health & Safety Committee's special May 2008 report. The Philadelphia Police Department later announced the arrest of a suspect in several of the robberies committed by the same person here and in other districts, as reported in the June 2008 report.

False Reports of Crime

Please note that there have been false reports in the past about the level of violent crime in Center City and about purse snatchings in the Logan Square neighborhood. An example was in May of 2008, as noted in the special report for that month. Please do not disseminate emails or other unconfirmed reports and instead email pdacreps@gmail.com so that LSNA's representatives may follow-up with the police to obtain and disseminate reliable information.

The Columbus Day holiday, which this year falls on October 13, 2008, will result in a similar, one-day delay in trash pick-up for the rest of that week.
