What You Can Do
  • Call Homeless Outreach day or night at 215-232-1984.
  • Volunteer and donate.
  • Buy a copy of "One Step Away".
  • Homeless advocates suggest you do not give money to panhandlers. Go to www.phillysharedstreets.org to learn more and donate to end homelessness.

  • What's Being Done
Philadelphia is a World Class city for residents, tourists and businesses. Construction has caused many homeless people to change their daily patterns, creating concern in Center City.

We are aware of the issue. Philadelphia's Office of Homeless Services provides leadership, coordination, planning and mobilization of resources to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring by working with our many partners.

    We Are Making Progress
  • Last year, we virtually ended veteran homelessness.
  • In early 2016, no families were found living on the street.
  • Programs that combine affordable rents with services have an 85 to 93% success rate in preventing a return to street homelessness.

    What Is Needed
Resources to establish more affordable housing with services so we can expand what works

Go to www.phillysharedstreets.org to learn more and donate to end homelessness.
